Te Aomihia - Tumai Ora

Te Aomihia - Tumai Ora I have lived in Dunedin for 10 years.  All 3 of my children reside within Ngati Porou.  I have 5 mokopuna, 2 of whom are twin boys living here in Dunedin.
My role as Manager under the umbrella of Kai Tahu ki Otago Ltd is to ensure that whanau maori, though not exclusive to maori, are assisted and empowered to better utilise exisiting services within their respective communities.
This is a collaborative approach working with and initiating the support of other service providers, Hauora Maori, MSD, MOH and other Govt. funded agencies. Our model of health encapsulates Tikanga Maori hence working within a Kaupapa Maori paradigm.
Outside of my working day I enjoy a regular fitness regime comprising Crossfit, jogging and skipping. I also practise traditional maori mirimiri and contemporary massage, a healing modality that I provide, time permitting.
Aside from work I enjoy personal building projects here and back home in Te Puia Springs as well as fishing, guitar playing, motorbike riding and I am an avid All Blacks rugby fan.  I also enjoy grassroots rugby, thereby supporting our local homegrown Te Puia and Waipiro Bay club rugby team, Tawhiti.
Heoi ano, tena tatou katoa.
